Care for the Human Behind the Craft
Maybe your creative work doesn't need more pressure.
Maybe the person behind it needs more support.
Beneath the Making brings psychology to creativity - supporting creative founders, educators, and teams in cultivating the conditions where they and their creativity can flourish.

when creativity feels
harder than it should
Your creative struggle is telling you something.
Maybe you've been told to push harder. To be more disciplined, build better systems, charge you're worth, and stop procrastinating by just doing it somehow.
And maybe some of that advice has helped.
But if knowing what to do - and criticizing yourself when you don't - were enough, you'd already be doing it.

You are creative, curious, and innovative under the right conditions.
We don't see your struggle as proof that you're not good enough. We see it as information - a sign that something that you need has not yet been supported.
So we ask different questions.
What conditions help you create?
What stories are shaping the way you see yourself and your work?
What support is missing?
What do you need to learn, experiment, and take creative risks?

Human to human
I'd love to talk about what you're creating
I believe supporting makers can change the world.
Psychology
10+ yrs
I've worked more than a decade as therapist applying psychology to help people navigate identity, life changes, career pivots, stress and trauma, burnout, confidence, neurodivergence, relationships, and creativity. I love the work I get to do and the people I get to do it for. And, as I'm sure you've seen, these are some of the areas that creative founders, mentors, and team leads are working on as well.
deeply human
1 human
At the center of everything is you. Your values, goals, and needs. We can help you reduce unnecessariy cognitive and emotional load. We can get curious about what's happening for you, ask deeper questions, and draw from an ocean of techniques and approaches - the goal is finding what works for you personally.
curiousity
∞ Possibility
Typically, people work with me because they want more than a system that helps them meet deadlines or productivity goals. They want to create a life and way of working that welcomes their curiosity again, helps them feel more connected, deepens purpose, invites joy, and reawakens possibility. I don't want to just help you survive. I want to help you feel fulfilled and whole.
our work is collaborative
