when creativity feels
harder than it should

You know what you're supposed to do. So why is it still so hard to do?

You know you "should" protect your boundaries. And that burnout isn't a badge of honor. You know your team needs clear communication, and that you shouldn't be carrying everyone's emotional load.

You know you need to make time for the creative work that actually lights you up.

And yet, the agency needs you. The client needs you. The team needs you. The next proposal needs you.

And somewhere along the way, you became responsible for so much, there wasn't enough left for yourself.

You didn't start an agency to become its judge, mediator, and therapist.

— YOU STARTED BECAUSE
YOU LOVED MAKING THINGS

Then the business grew.

Now you're leading people, managing personalities, making decisions, protecting margins, pitching work, navigating conflict, and trying to create a culture where good people actually want to stay.

You're still a creative. But you're also the person everyone looks to when something goes wrong.

That's a very different job. And it requires a different kind of support.

Together we can support your towards the sort of joyful life, creative work, and sustainable business you've imagined.

I want you to imagine not being the only person holding everything.

You still run the business, make the decisions, and lead the team. But you don't have to figure everything out alone.

You can have someone to talk to when leadership gets complicated. Someone who understands both psychology and creative business.

Someone who feels like a companion on this journey - supportive, nonjudgemental, and genuinely caring about both you as a founder and what you're trying to create.

Your team has access to resources they can actually use and are learning how to communicate more effectively. They have tools for managing stress, navigating differences, and working together.

They can also see that when you say you care about your wellbeing, you followed it up with real action, resources, and changes in how your team works.

Come home to the part of yourself that got you here in the first place: the creative, the curious person, the person who imagined more and created your own path.

You're Frodo. And I'm Sam.

You run the business, make the decisions, and lead the team. But you don't have to figure everything out alone.

I'm here to walk beside you.

To help you understand what's happening beneath the surface.
To carry some of the weight when things get heavy.
To help you find the next step when you can't see it clearly.

And to remind you that you don't have to pretend everything is fine just because you're the person everyone is counting on.
You can be the leader and still need support.

I believe supporting makers can change the world.

Psychology

10+ yrs Working Beneath the Making

For more than a decade I've applied psychology to the challenges that often sit beneath the work: stress, burnout, trauma, identity, confidence, relationships, and change. My work as a therapist has included supporting creatives - from designers and authors to other makers - as well as founders and executives.

That means support is collaborative and tailored to you. Your creative identity, your business, your team, your values, and the particular challenges you are facing.

Together, we make psychology something practical: a better way to understand what's getting in the way, find strategies that fit how you actually work, and creat healthier ways of working, communicating, leading and creating.

You can be deeply ambitious about your work without sacrificing your wellbeing for it.

Humanity

Samwise to Creative Frodos

Running a creative business can feel a little like carrying the ring. You're responsible for the mission, the people, the money, the decisions - and sometimes it feels like everyone is looking to you to know what to do next.

I'm here to be your Samwise.

Not to take over. Not to tell you how to run your business. And definitely not to pretend I have all the answers. I love learning what you're doing and why, what's getting in the way, and what could make things work better.

And at the end of the day, I'm then happy returning to my granny-millenial life of books, art, toddlers and whatever creative rabbit hole I'm exploring lately. I support the human behind the work, by embracing both your humanity and my own.

Possibility

Finding Your Own Way

I believe people are so much more than the problems they are trying to solve.

More than their burnout.
More than their productivity.
More than their role at work.
More than the thing they are struggling with right now.

And I believe creative businesses can be places where people do genuinely meaningful and innovative work and live fulfilling creative lives.

I work particularly well with people who don't fit neatly into the expected mold - rebels and misfits, unconventional thinkers, neurodivergent creatives, people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, and anyone who's ever wondered if there's another way to do things that actually works better for them.

Let's create something together

Would some part of you love to have support for running a healthy creative team? Or for mentoring and teaching fellow creatives? Or feeling excited about your work again?

Let's talk about psychology-based strategies for things like imposter syndrome, procrastination, worthiness wounds, or bridging the gap between "knowing" and "doing"!
